Matt (Archie) Archibald served in the Canadian Army for 13 years as a signals intelligence specialist, including combat tours in Afghanistan, and spent four years on exchange with the National Security Agency, where he founded both the Coalition Support Cell and the AFPAK Area Studies training curriculum. After his retirement, he has held a variety of management positions at defense and technology companies, including a three-year deployment to Afghanistan (2017-2020), and has led PAE’s National Maintenance Strategy training program.

Archie formerly led Raytheon’s Cyber Academy, focusing on both internal and external cyber talent development initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and National Security Studies from King’s College London and is currently pursuing a second doctorate in Organizational Psychology from the Yale School of Management. Archie continues to lecture on a variety of subjects, ranging from Critical Thinking and Structured Analytic Techniques to Afghan History. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and trainer.
